Feedback and changes

[ from mid point presentation ]  I asked 4 questions in the midpoint presentation. Which one do you think good/convenient for users to count the number?(on my sketch) - The reward/benefits section will be a good method to get more people using reusable cups - Hi Min! I think the staff one and scanning the qr code is quite convenient. People counting by themselves might mean people cheat and over exaggerate how many times they've used it  Merge 1&2 100% - I'm not sure, I can see the dilemma, merge 1 & 2 would mean people can't exaggerate (would using one qr code that everyone scans in the store better than a sticker, to save paper?), but if people make their own drink then they can't enter the use, so I would say 3 might be the best I guess you could merge 3 and some elements of 2 as having a qr code could remind people to enter their use when they are in the store - I think it's difficult to have users count their uses themselves. It might be best for ho...

Initial Design + Changes

 1. Start Page [initial] [modified] I changed the first page because the initial one was too simple. I want to highlight the main colour of Ncup by using the colour on the background. 2. Login-Sign Up [initial] [modified] I added sign up and sign in button on each sign in and sign up apge. 3. Register cup  [initial] At first, uploading the photo was just optional, and I wanted that users can see the photo before clicking 'done' button. But I got feedback from Armando that it looks more proper on the web, not the app. So I changed the button. [1st modified] I changed like the photo above, like big plus button and cancel button and put 'preview' function. But I did not like it. [final] It is the final design. While modifying the design and function, there were some changes in function. Like it is no more optional to upload the photo of tumblers. Because I thought staff in cafe need to check the tumbler image when they scan it. And I coloured green on the top background. 4...

Logo and the name of app

I chose the name of the app as Ncup. N means number so I wanted to show like use it N-times.  And I put N in the circle in the logo like the number in the circle on the main page.  When I did sketches, I was considered the name between UseFullCup and Ncup. UseFullCup was a compound word of useful+full+cup.  I wanted to say it could be a useful cup and use it fully. The intention of my project is to use the reusable cup as much as users can and use it fully first rather than buy a new one and change the old one. The reason why I set my intention as above is that people buy a lot of reusable cups under they protect the environment. But they including me have not thought about how many times we need to use them. Anyways, I liked the UseFullCup since it was meaningful but I finally chose the name of app as Ncup. At first, I was going to use two more pink colours and layered both circles because users can slide/swipe the cup on the main page. I wanted to show that motion on th...

Data for Change [ Process : Design & Coding ]

Since I was a bit lost when doing data for change, I focused on visualising data and design after the second crits and getting feedback.  <First Page> I forgot to put a legend on the panel when I showed them last crits, so I wrote the meaning of each colour. The most difficult in design was the first page because of layering the map. I wanted to show how many learning methods each country are using. For example, while some countries implement both Online and TV, some countries provide 4 learning methods (online, tv, radio, paper). My intention from the first page is that it is not unconditionally good even though they provide whole learning methods. Because we can find there are many countries that use 4 learning methods, but when users scroll down, they will find they all just implement online/tv/radio class even they do not have enough equipment. And users can find there is a huge gap between the rural and the urban on the last page. It means mostly they all just superficia...

Borders&Bounderies [Design after feedback]

1.  I got the feedback that the grey colour of the year button is a bit light so I made it darker and change the size of the text on the right side as well. I also changed the width of the red, green, blue button since I changed the text a little.  After changing the text colour on the right side, three colours did not seem vivid so I changed it to use highlight. And it only showed the changing colours when I mouse over, but I added another graph chart to see data in once for each category(red/green/blue button) shown every year after getting feedback.  I also drew the line on the top next page to be shown smoothly when scrolling down the page. 2. I changed the pie chart since there was some mistake that I misread the data in blue circle. So I designed it again in photoshop and edited it in Illustrator and saved it as SVG file and filled the colours with coding.  3. I changed the bar graph. I gathered two bars into one and enlarged the bar size. They were round shape...
