Logo and the name of app

I chose the name of the app as Ncup. N means number so I wanted to show like use it N-times.

And I put N in the circle in the logo like the number in the circle on the main page.

When I did sketches, I was considered the name between UseFullCup and Ncup.

UseFullCup was a compound word of useful+full+cup.

I wanted to say it could be a useful cup and use it fully.

The intention of my project is to use the reusable cup as much as users can and use it fully first rather than buy a new one and change the old one. The reason why I set my intention as above is that people buy a lot of reusable cups under they protect the environment. But they including me have not thought about how many times we need to use them.

Anyways, I liked the UseFullCup since it was meaningful but I finally chose the name of app as Ncup.

At first, I was going to use two more pink colours and layered both circles because users can slide/swipe the cup on the main page. I wanted to show that motion on the logo. But when I used two colours, it did not seem about the environmental and green image so I changed to use only green colour and black series of colours and white.

23RD SEPTEMBER 2019 I learned how drawing can be related to systems. At first, I was quite confused since I have not thought that I can do a drawing about systems without computer and machine. Because the word 'system' I thought was directly related to computer. I learned the exact meaning of system, which is a set of things working together as parts of a mechanism or an interconnecting network. We especially drew 'complex system' a lot, meaning one in which the individual elements interact to create something that is greater than the sum of its parts. [Why and how I chose the theme] When we get the list of topic, our PBL group chose "inequality" and did research. While I researched, I found the interesting news that children in the poorest countries have lost four months of schooling since the start of the pandemic.
